About us
AidAfrica Ltd. was established by a group of young professionals in Dublin, Ireland in 2004. The seven member committee includes scientists, managers, an IT professional and a student. The Directors are : Marian Brennan, Anthony Chubb, Paul Corcoran, Esme Tremlett, Catriona Brennan, Glenn Calverley and Geraldine Brennan. 

The company was officially incorporated by the signing of the Governing Instrument and registered as a private company limited by shares on 10th November 2004. The Republic of Ireland Company Registration Office number for AidAfrica Ltd. is 393467.

AidAfrica Ltd. was subsequently awarded charitable non-profit status from the Irish Revenue Commissioners on 25th January 2005 and assigned charity number CHY 15818.

Mandate:
The AIDS crisis has left thousands of young children to fend for themselves in Southern Africa. As a result many children as young as 10 years old look after one or more younger siblings. These children are forced to work or beg to survive, thus preventing the from attending school, depriving them of an education and a childhood.

Object:
The main object for which the company is established is to provide for the relief of poverty by alleviating the suffering of underprivileged children in Southern Africa who are affected by HIV/AIDS, providing direct financial support to organizations assisting these children.

Subsidiary objects:
- To organize fund-raising activities to attract and collect funds in the Republic of Ireland.
- To distribute those funds to vetted charitable, non-profit, non-governmental, community based organizations in Southern Africa that are aimed at alleviating the suffering of children affected by the AIDS epidemic. 

Key Organisation Rules:
- The Directors, Trustees or Officers will reap no monetary (or equivalent) benefit from funds donated to AidAfrica.
- Furthermore, no more than 5% of donations made may be used for administrative costs of AidAfrica or any of its beneficiaries. 
- Beneficiary organisations will be vetted according to a set of rules. 
- The election of new members will be determined by a majority vote of the committee
